Conclusion

Mother Nature is an unrelenting, unforgiving force so it is the best if we treat her well because all of it will go back to us, the effect and the use of the Nature around us. The best time to act was yesterday, the best we can do is today, but if we wait for tomorrow it may just be too late. Our Earth is a very beautiful planet. Among all the planets in the universe, the Earth is the loveliest, with mountains, oceans, and all manner of environments, each a home to many kinds of creatures. Mother Earth sustains all life on it, including us humans. She provides all the food we eat and the material goods we use. But her health is declining and she's losing her ability to protect and provide for the creatures living on the land. Natural disasters, such as floods, mudslides, wildfires, drought, and earthquakes, cause damage to the Earth. Crops are destroyed as a result of drought or flooding, leading to food shortages and famine. People lose their lives and their homes as a resu...

Solution to Ozone Depletion

Image
Desist from using pesticides Pesticides are great chemicals to rid your farm of pests and weeds, but they contribute enormously to ozone layer depletion. The surefire solution to get rid of pests and weeds is to apply natural methods. Just weed your farm manually and use alternative eco-friendly chemicals to alleviate pests. Discourage driving of private vehicles The easiest technique to minimize ozone depletion is to limit the number of vehicles on the road. These vehicles emit a lot of greenhouse gases that eventually form smog, a catalyst in the depletion of ozone layer. Utilize environmentally friendly cleaning products Most household cleaning products are loaded with harsh chemicals that find way to the atmosphere, eventually contributing to degradation of the ozone layer. Use natural and environmentally friendly cleaning products to arrest this situation. Prohibit the use of harmful nitrous oxide The Montreal Protocol formed in 1989 helped a lot in the limita...

Ozone Depletion 🍂

Image
The earth’s atmosphere is composed of many layers, each playing a significant role. The first layer stretching approximately 10 kilometers upwards from the earth’s surface is known as the troposphere. A lot of human activities such as gas balloons, mountain climbing, and small aircraft flights take place within this region. The stratosphere is the next layer above the troposphere stretching approximately 15 to 60 kilometers. The ozone layer sits in the lower region of the stratosphere from about 20-30 kilometers above the surface of the earth. The thickness of the ozone layer is about 3 to 5 mm, but it pretty much fluctuates depending on the season and geography. Ozone layer is a deep layer in earth’s atmosphere that contain ozone which is a naturally occurring molecule containing three oxygen atoms. These ozone molecules form a gaseous layer in the Earth’s upper atmosphere called stratosphere. This lower region of stratosphere containing relatively higher concentration of ozon...

Man by Steve Cutts 👦🏼

Image
MAN by STEVE CUTTS This video conveys a perspective that has many supporters and touches on some key prevalent conceptions of humans’ relationship to nature. Ceaseless searching for the values that are to shape a new way of being and doing, one that is desperately needed for humanity to evolve towards its maturity, should not be done in isolation. To offer alternatives to the current modus operandi, we must be well informed of current attitudes and beliefs, and we must be ready to face different perspectives. Indeed, very often we come up against statements that belittle our vision and dismiss it as purely idealistic. This means that it is of the utmost importance to develop the capacity to articulate ideas that legitimize a position that rises above the materialistic thinking widespread in today’s society.

Solutions to Global Warming

Image
Reduce Emissions In order to effectively address global warming, we must significantly reduce the amount of heat-trapping emissions we are putting into the atmosphere. As individuals, we can help by taking action to reduce our personal carbon emissions. But to fully address the threat of global warming, we must demand action from our elected leaders to support and implement a comprehensive set of climate solutions. Stop Deforestation Tropical deforestation accounts for about 10 percent of the world’s heat-trapping emissions — equivalent to the annual tailpipe emissions of 600 million average U.S. cars. Reducing tropical deforestation can significantly lower global warming emissions and — together with efforts to reduce emissions from fossil fuels — plays an integral role in a comprehensive long-term solution to global warming. Fight Misinformation Why has it been so difficult to achieve meaningful solutions to global warming? Media pundits, partisan think tanks, and...

Global Warming 🔥

Image
Over the past 50 years, the average global temperature has increased at the fastest rate in recorded history. And experts see the trend is accelerating: All but one of the 16 hottest years in NASA’s 134-year record have occurred since 2000. Climate change deniers have argued that there has been a “pause” or a “slowdown” in rising global temperatures, but several recent studies, including a 2015 paper published in the journal Science, have disproved this claim. And scientists say that unless we curb global-warming emissions, average U.S. temperatures could increase by up to 10 degrees Fahrenheit over the next century. Global warming occurs when carbon dioxide (CO2) and other air pollutants and greenhouse gasses collect in the atmosphere and absorb sunlight and solar radiation that have bounced off the earth’s surface. Normally, this radiation would escape into space—but these pollutants, which can last for years to centuries in the atmosphere, trap the heat and cause the planet ...
